Description

Solgar® Collagen Hyaluronic Acid Complex is formulated with BioCell Collagen II™. BioCell Collagen II™ is scientifically shown to help soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, significantly increase skin elasticity and improve skin collagen content after 12 weeks.(2) This formulation includes vitamin C that works in synergy with BioCell Collagen II™ to support collagen formation and also provides cell protection against oxidative stress.(3)

The skin is the primary barrier separating the body’s internal environment from the outside world protecting us from pathogens and the elements. Collagen helps to maintains skin’s integrity by providing elasticity, firmness and locking in moisture but with age skin becomes less firm and elastic, drier and more wrinkled because its collagen content drops. In addition, oxidative stress caused by pollution, excessive UV exposure and poor lifestyle and dietary choices may also accelerate skin aging.(4,5)

A healthy and balanced diet and limiting sun exposure can help slow the skin’s natural aging process as can certain nutrients like vitamin C.3 Research suggests that hydrolysed collagen may also assist is supporting younger looking healthy skin.(1,2,6)

Vitamin C contributes to: - normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin - the protection of cells from oxidative stress
