Joint Ease Balsamika® active ingredients are natural extracts, which have been used for centuries for their healing and soothing properties. They are:
• Menthol
• Camphor
• Clove Oil.
• Beeswax is used as a natural non-irritating base, which maintains the potency of the active ingredients. (Other muscle balms often contain paraffin wax, which is not a natural product and is, in fact, a by-product of the crude oil industry).
• Does not grease, smear or stain
• Has a pleasant aroma

Ingredients

Camphor – is the main component of the oil of the camphor tree. It stimulates the skin and underlying tissues, improving blood circulation, activating metabolism and thereby easing pain and swelling.

Menthol – comes from the oil of the peppermint plant. It reduces the sensitivity of the nerve-endings to pain, is anti-spasmodic and stops any itching sensation. Menthol has a cooling and soothing effect on the skin, allowing heat to be drawn from underlying tissues, thereby encouraging tissue metabolism and healing.

Oil of Clove – comes from the dried flower buds of the clove tree. It is anaesthetic, analgesic and antiseptic. Combined with menthol and camphor, it is effective in treating muscle strain, swelling and rheumatic pain.
These ingredients, when used in combination, both complement and strengthen each other’s effectiveness.

Beeswax – is a neutral base which does not smear or grease and above all protects the active ingredients from oxidation, which subsequently would weaken their action.

Beeswax also facilitates slow absorption into the skin of Balsamika’s ingredients, allowing for prolonged and more effective action. It also protects against cold and is non-irritating. Because of all these qualities, beeswax has been recommended for centuries in Oriental medicine as an invaluable base for therapeutic ointments.

 

Directions For Use

Gently massage a bean-size amount of the ointment into the affected area and if possible cover to keep warm. Best effects are often obtained when applied before going to sleep. In acute cases, the treatment can be repeated several times during the day until the pain or swelling subsides.

Note: Balsamika contains no chemical additives or colouring.
Balsamika is safe to use but is not recommended for children under 3 years.
Do not apply Balsamika to broken skin or mucous membranes or rub into the eyes.
