There are just 13 minerals that are essential to the health of the human body, and Selenium is one of them. A deficiency of any of these minerals can lead to critical health issues, so they must be ingested and absorbed properly to support your health and wellbeing.

There are several important functions that Selenium plays a part in, so a lack of it can have an impact on any of the following:

• Normal, healthy functioning of your Immune System

• Maintenance normal thyroid function
